Jon Montalban

Jon Montalban son of Dominican parents, was born July 21, 1972, in New York City, although part of his childhood and youth was spent in the Dominican Republic, his musical life was born through a miracle, God healed him at 4 years of age from an illness that doctors were never able to detect and his mom heard God’s audible voice, that Jon would sing and worship the Lord’s Greatness.

At age nine, Jon felt an inclination for music and popular guitar; he studied at the music conservatory Salvador Esturla. Then join the choir of the Dominican American Cultural Institute. His passion for music grew over the years and later went to study in New York City to study voice with well known professor “Leona Mathews” who was a vocal instructor at the institute Carnegie Hall, he educated and perfected his voice during a period of seven years, being ranked as a “Lyric Tenor” by participating in several musical events successively developed as an artist, composer and music producer in the secular market.

In search of new horizons, Jon moved to Los Angeles where he signed his first recording contract with the company “Seven Rivers” being distributed by Fonovisa, with his first hit musical entitled “Your Look Me Mata “. Theme song of the year, and was also nominated in the first round of the 2000 Latin Grammy’s. He then signed with “Famous Music Publishing” as a musical composer. Everything was going according to plan when suddenly a personal invitation changed his whole outlook on life. Jon experienced an encounter with Jesus Christ and decided to leave everything to follow God’s call in his life. Immediately thereafter, the divine inspiration comes upon his life and began to compose and perform songs about change and restoration, directing people to a life of fulfillment and purpose. Soon Jon earned the affection of the people. His writing and interpreting style has been classified as a multifaceted artistic talent.

Jon recorded musical production called “Metamorphosis”, with the first single “I declare My Love” and “Our Father” by settling among the first places on Christian radio stations, which led him to a nomination in the category for Breakthrough of the Year in Christian Music by Radio Nueva Vida, Ca in 2003. After recording second album “New Song” showed great success through first single “The hem of his garment” is also going top places preference on radio stations and on the way to emerging healing and miracles through the power and the divine hand of God.

After eight years of ministry, God sent a prophetic word to Jon, a new musical sound that was part of the restoration of Davidic Tabernacle; then comes his most recent musical production entitled “Music of Heaven” recorded with the Prague Symphony, being a prophetic production needed for these times where God raises his people to new levels and larger dimensions of faith, glory and conquest, his subject being the main record “Faith”.
